Wingrove Park, which was an Aboriginal meeting place, extends along the Diamond Creek and boasts a bicycle track and a colony of platypuses.

This park is one of many along the 'Heidelberg School Artists Trail', a route designed to take interested parties to the approximate sites depicted in the paintings of those associated with the Heidelberg School (i.e., Arthur Streeton, Walter Withers, Louis Buvelot, Tom Roberts, Clara Southern, David Davies, Emanuel Phillips Fox, Charles Conder, Tudor St George Tucker, Eugene Von Guerard, May Vale and Jane Price).

THEMED CACHE :- This cache will contain Scout bages and other Scouting swaps from 17th October 2003, as it will be used as part of JOTI (Jamboree of the Internet, see http://www.joti.org/ ). Feel free to swap non-Scouting items for non-Scouting items, Scouting items for Scouting items. Scouts, GPSr and the internet ... a very interesting mix!

Please ensure that the cache is well hidden after you have made your exchange.

Surprised such a beautiful park had no one around. Signs of rabbits everywhere. This park would really come alive on dusk. Must come back at night to appreciate it better. Took marble, left wishing stone. TFTC.

It's been a while since I DYB-ed and DOB-ed but fortunately we weren't too out of shape to find this hide. Lots of birds for company today. Took fish TB and smiley eraser, left glass egg. TFTC

TERRIFYING. Large noisy birds everywhere, rabbits the size of tigers, and at one point a very large branch broke off a tree just a few feet from my head. But, I found it, and in the end that's what counts. Ta very much.

Found at 12:04pm with Been_there. One of those beautiful days for a walk in the park. First of 3 for the day. I never realized how extensive this park was. Have walked and ridden along here many times - thanks for taking us off the made path.
