Geocache Description:

This cache is in one of the city’s ravine parks. One goes from urban to remote very quickly (down). It is very pleasant, but a little slippery after heavy rain or once the snow and ice sets in (steep).

TTC – Friendly.
We like to Geocache in different cities. So in an effort to make Geocaching more practical to the Toronto visitor, the start off points to our caches in the area may be reached by the TCC. This means there is a subway station somewhere near the start.

TTC Subway:
Yonge line, get off at the St. Clair station and exit on the north side of St. Clair.
If you drive, parking won’t be easy!
Make your way to (N43 41.442 W079 23.486) for the trail start and then to the cache.

Alternate route out:
Make your way to (N43 41.146 W079 23.186) and then to the Summerhill station on the Yonge line (N43 40.933 W079 23.455).

For those who do not like stairs (over a hundred) or must drive, get off at the Summerhill station or park in the Summerhill area. Make your way to (N43 41.146 W079 23.186) and then to the cache.

The cache is a retired green "swifter" refills container. It is hidden beneath one of many logs. Visible when one is nearby.

After Cache
Before leaving the ravine you can walk a little ways towards (N43 40.935 W079 23.019) and back. If you keep going southeast you can make it to the Don.

Trail Bikers. Catch the ravine down by the Don Valley bike routes and follow it up to the cache.

Additional Hints (Encrypt)

This is a ravine area, there are no straight routes (trails); get ready to zig zag. You don’t have to get your feet wet, crossing will be provided. If you are standing out on a little point looking at the stream, it’s behind you.
