*shortypen* If you want a nice stretch of beach that is fairly
private, yet close to civilization, this is it. I sailed out here
with some friends and we camped overnight. Great anchorage, it
protects from the North, East, and South which are the directions
of the prevailing winds.
*Purtee* After adopting this cache I went to reestablish this
cache. After many storms/hurricanes the beach where the cache sat
was washed away. The old location was washed away and the
coordinates were changed to current location. For the historians of
caches the old coordinates were N28 35.172 W096 13.771.
For the wildlife enthusiast, this place is booming with
wildlife. When I was a young man, I remember seeing wildlife
flourishing around this area. As time passed it became rare to see
much of anything. August 13th 2009 I went to this location and
could not believe, in such a short time, among the many birds I saw
hogs 5, deer 3, rabbits many, coyotes 2 and a bobcat. Take your
camera and be ready for that rare opportunity photo. While
you’re on the beach look back toward the land and you should
see the abundance of wild life. Needless to say, fishing form this
beach will produce some of the best fishing you have seen in some
time. Nature maintains this beach in a natural way (little to no
trash) please help her keep it this way always remember CITO.
Pack your boat with camping gear and enjoy a nice peaceful
weekend with nature.
