Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Reporters Riddle. Gather the clues and find the cache!

This series consists of 4 caches, Reporters Riddle #1 - #3 and Final. This is the third in the series. Each cache contains a number of clues, and the coordinates to the next cache, i.e. Reporters Riddle #1 contains Clue 1, and the coordinates to Reporters Riddle #2 and so on. The clues are initially quite cryptic, but become more direct.

Check out Reporters Riddle – Final(GCH26T) for further instructions.

Other Caches: Reporters Riddle #1 (GCH26X)
Reporters Riddle #2 (GCH26Z)

Take a pen and paper with you so that you can write down the clue, and the coordinates of the next waypoint.

Please do not place the coordinates of the cache in your log or give its location away.

Park at the coordinates given for this cache.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND DETAILS BELOW:

  • This is a MULTI-CACHE consisting of 4 waypoints and the cache

  • RR3_WPT 1: Coordinates you retrieved from Reporters Riddle #2 (GCH26Z) cache. Here you will find a clue for the series and the waypoint for RR3_WPT 2 of this cache

  • RR3_WPT2 - RR3_WPT4: Coordinates in previous RR3_WPT. Each waypoint contains a clue in the series as well as the coordinates to the next waypoint. RR3_WPT4 contains the coordinates to this cache.

  • RR3_CACHE: Coordinates in RR3_WPT4. The cache itself is a LnL container. The cache contains the logbook which you need to sign and a clue for the series.

  • Please make sure that the container is replaced exactly where found and in the way it was placed.

  • Yes - You do need to sign the logbook. Simply spotting the hide or forgetting your pen will not count!

This is a great place to bring the kids and dogs. No problems for prams either, but you may need strong arms and legs over the grass, so the "off-road" variety will work better. If you have a mountain bike, you can cycle between the waypoints. The waypoints will take you on a circular route of approximately 2.4km, it’s all easy walking. Take water and sunscreen!! The route should take you 40min to an hour to complete.

The park is well frequented so it is safe to walk around, especially at dog walking times in the morning and afternoons, however, keep your eyes peeled. The late afternoons and weekends appear better for caching as muggles tend to be on the move and not loitering around. The waypoints and cache are all in relatively open and well frequented areas. The caches in this park have unfortunately suffered a high attrition rate so make sure there are no eyes watching you.

The cache itself is in a 0.5l container. The clue waypoints are hidden in various small containers. Make sure it is securely replaced.

If you haven’t figured out the location of the final cache, time to put the Sherlock Holmes cap on!! Good Luck!

Here's the stuck record bit: Take a GOOD look and walk around before attempting to look for, or retrieve the cache. Once you have figured it out, retrieve it surreptitiously, and please ensure the cache is replaced properly.
