Geocache Description:

Cache is located in a "future" State or County park and the area is virtually unchanged for the past 30-40 years.

Be careful if it's muddy.

There is a parking area in Sherman/Jedburg at the Meramec river called Sherman Beach Park. Castlewood Park trails have now been connected to the Al foster trail. There is also a new parking area at Glencoe near the mini RR. Eventually the abandoned RR trail will go as far as HW44 and connect with Rt. 66 park. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This is my first cache, so constructive criticism is appreciated. The cache is in a clear/blue lid Rubbermaid container.

There are 3 good places to park for access to the area.
1.Park at Glencoe/mini RR and follow the old abandoned RR right-of-way (now Al Foster trail-2 Mile RT)
2.Park at Sherman/Jedburgh (Sherman Beach Park) and follow the old abandoned RR right-of-way (Al foster trail-3 Mile RT).
3.Park at the school on Old State Road and Lawer Ford and follow the old road down. (4 Mile RT) The road looks good at the beginning but it is washed out into the area.
