Everyone's invited to this informal chow-down, to meet local geocachers face-to-face and eat a hearty breakfast before hitting the trails!
Saturday, November 8th, 8 a.m. ~ the Country Kitchen restaurant
Some of us who've discovered the fun of team hunting want to share it with more folks by starting our day at this local breakfast joint. We'll get together to eat and chat, then team up (or go our separate ways) to hunt some local caches. No formal meetings, contests, or special events - just a chance to put the faces together with the names we see in the cache log books, chew the fat, put on a couple of pounds, then work 'em off geocache hunting.
There's no need to bring anything special; the 'Country Kitchen' specializes in breakfast and we'll be going dutch. The cache is handicapped accessible and easy to find, but you'll only be able to sign the logbook from 8 AM till around 9:30 AM. Just show up at the coordinates and look for the bunch of folks with the GPSr's!
There are already over 60 active caches within 10 miles of this Breakfast Event cache. One is within a few hundred feet, and many could be combined to make a great bike ride. We'll try to have maps and cache descriptions available at the breakfast to aid your planning.
We'd love to have you and your family join us for breakfast, even if you can't go caching afterwards. Please post a note to this page by Thursday, Nov. 6th if you're coming, so we can tell the Country Kitchen approximately how many to expect. Then stop by for breakfast, fellowship, and as many caches as you care to catch on Saturday the 8th!
