Geocache Description:

Located in Winchester centre in a very mugglesum area.

Please do not drive down the road where the cache is as it is a bus and taxi only route.

Parking is in the city center car parks or use the park and ride.

The Time At The Bar series will take you around the centre of Winchester to visit some of the gone and forgotten public houses that ceased trading long ago.

There will hopefully be 8 caches when the series is complete

The caches can all be done on a pleasant walk in one day in good weather or on their own.

If you would like to learn a little more about Winchesters forgotten history, have a go at GC1279A which is a mystry cache created by Juggles.

On the site where the cache is, stood The Suffolk Arms which was demolished in 1934. The pub was origonaly called the Marquis of Granby where the local freemasons held meetings between 1816 and 1831.

This one is best tackeld at quiet times i.e. early morning and late evening as it is right in the center of town.
