Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park is a very popular spot with the locals, especially during weekends, offering great views, walks under the trees and a chance for a bit of wildlife spotting. A network of paths meander around and up the hill and if you keep your eyes open you may spot the odd carving amongst the trees.
The distinctive folly is sited near the summit, with a trig point and viewpoint nearby. The Kinnoul Tower is visible on the approach roads from the south and east and was built in the 19th century to look like a ruin such as those on the banks of the Rhine, with the River Tay meanding its way below..
Also near the Folly is a stone table, built for the victorians as their picnic table. Please watch youngsters and dogs as you are near the edge of the crags.
