Holly was a fantastic dog and a big part of our family.
She was a sociable pup who loved the outdoors and enjoyed
Geocaching just as much as we do. At the tender age of 9 years old,
she sadly died on 1 November 2010, about 6 months after developing
a condition known as CDRM and we greatly miss our four-legged
companion.
Holly Dog
To mark her Geocaching interest and her ability to sniff
out Tupperware boxes, Holly’s Cache has been set in
woodland in Almondbank on one of her many walks. The cache is
ideally placed to either start or finish the Almond View
Trail series and is stocked with a few dog treats for other
four-legged cachers, so please help yourself.
We would love to see photograph of other Geocaching
Hounds so feel free to post pictures!
There are a few muggles and duggles on this route so
stealth is required at certain times of the day (early morning,
lunch and tea times) and please ensure that the cache is well
concealed when you replace it.
From the parking co-ordinates, cross the road, walk
southwards to the metal kissing-gate and follow a short path to the
start of the wooded area.
Alternatively, you can access the path to the cache from
East Drive, with same parking as for the Almond View Trail
series.
