This is one of a number of lime kilns in the area. I have placed caches at a number of the others, Craggyhall Lime Kilns, Underneath the Arches, The Kiln Fields, Kiln me softly and Adderstone Lime Kiln #1.
Very much a cache and dash on a minor road just off the A1. Be careful at the junction as it is a very busy part of the road. Best approached by turning left when driving south. When leaving it may also be safer to then turn left and travel south a few hundred yards to the next service area and making any northerly turns there.
Please note: There is no need to enter the kiln.
