Placidamente adagiata sul poggio che domina Dormelletto la chiesa Parrocchiale della Madonna Assunta è comodamente raggiungibile attraverso la strada che dal cimitero si tuffa nella parte più verdeggiante della collina. Esattamente sul versante opposto a sud, sale invece un'agevole scalinata di 86 gradini che dal centro del paese conduce direttamente alla parte absidale della chiesa offrendo al visitatore un suggestivo panorama del lago. La facciata, posta a ovest, guarda le propaggini orientali del Parco dei Lagoni attraverso le colonne doriche di un portichetto barocco graziosamente affrescato che introduce il visitatore nella Parrocchiale. Una precisa descrizione della struttura architettonica del tempio è quella vergata da Paolo Verzone: "l'edificio è stato molto trasformato, ma da quel che sussiste dell'antica struttura, si arguisce che era ad una sola navata, coperta da campate di volte a crociera: l'abside che la terminava verso oriente è stata distrutta. On the opposite side, there is an easy 86 stairway steps that, from town center,leads directly to the apse of the Church by offering visitors a unique panorama of the Lake. The façade, located to the West, see Eastern offshoots of the Lagoni Park through the Doric columns of a Baroque porch painted prettily that introduces visitors to the parish.
