In response to the growing reports of pirate sightings, the State of Texas has commissioned the “TSS Longitude” to patrol the waters of Lake Ray Roberts. A word to all those who prey on helpless wayfarers, your time of reckoning is at hand, the Texas State Navy has arrived. Long Live Texas!
This cache is located Web Island. The coordinates to the cache are inscribed on a plank of wood that is nailed to an old tree know as the “Mutineers Gallows” (N 33.22.215 / W 097.01.375). Web Island is located about 50 yards offshore of the Isle Du Bois State Park. If you pick the right spot and you are of the right height, you can cross to the island by way of an underwater land bridge. Please take care to recover the cache well, as we all know how pirates and muggles can be. Fear not good citizens and “cache on”!
