Please park your car on the official car park and use the well-constructed path as long as possible. The path will lead you through an area of forestry and will then emerge into a spectacular landscape. A detailed map of the area can be found here.
According to history, a large hoard of 10th century gold and silver coins as well as jewellery were found at the base of a rock in 1891. What better place would there be to hide a modern-day cache? For more information please check The Old Man of Storr wikipedia page.
On your way to the cache site you will pass a warning sign. Although the cache is not located near the cliffs do not underestimate falling rocks, especially if you decide to walk further uphill. Please do not place yourself in a dangerous situation.
If you have your camera with you, please take a picture of "him" and post it on this website - who knows, perhaps we will finally find him a wife!
Enjoy - and please remember to leave nothing but footprints on your way to the cache.
As I do not life in the area, but more than 1000 miles away, I might not be able to visit this cache often.
