Starting with a spectacular view of the Sawtooths, hike about a third of a mile through a meadow towards a pine tree with a white trunk.
Cache is a round plastic container with several trinkets including shells from Topsail NC, a Boise area discount card, and a travel bug which had a goal of "seeing the Sawtooths someday". Maybe it should visit some more caches in the area?!
Best access is the Park Creek scenic overlook. Although the cache should be accessible year round, you'll need XC skis or snowshoes to find it after the snow flies. This is a popular ski area, so that should be easy...although you may have to dig through the snow.
Before you start your search, look for the "Witness Corner" in the parking lot, which describes how close you are to the very center of Idaho and provides coordinates. Pay attention to the wording though!
UPDATE: This can be a popular elk area from late September through mid-November, so be aware that you may be sharing the meadow with animals and hunters.
