An uphill walk, pathway all the way, through well managed woodland. The pathway is slippery and muddy when wet, so boots advised. You would manage to get a buggy up this steep slope if you so wished.
Just a few minutes drive south from the city of Perth brings you to this popular walking area.
Moncrieffe Hill is well marked with waymarker posts along the way on managed paths, giving great views of the River Tay or Strathearn when you reach the top.
Red squirrels have been seen here and the Woodland Trust have been busy planting deciduous trees on the lower slopes.
The car parking is reached up a dirt track from the south side of the hill at co-ords N56.21.460/W003.22.347.
As this cache is just at the side of the path, stealth is required when retrieving the cache.

Letterboxing.
In the cache box you will find a Rubber Stamp and an Ink Pad - these are the signature for this cache. Please take an imprint of the stamp for yourself if you wish to collect them in your own personal notebook. Then leave an imprint of your own personal stamp in the cache log book (if you have one), or simply sign as a traditional log book.
Stamp and Ink remains part of the cache but it might be an idea to carry your own Ink Pad in case the one provided should dry up.
