LOTR title

I have created a series of caches that are based on JRR Tolkien trilogy the Lord of the rings. These caches do not have to be completed in order; however you will need to collect clues in some caches to complete other caches later in the series. There will be six sub-series of caches one for each of the original six books. I will try to incorporate an event or place from the books into each cache. You will need do research or find clues in the books. Some answers may be found in the movies. In each cache you will find a clue that you will need in order to find the final cache for each book. The final cache in each book will then provide a clue to a master cache at the end of all six series. Be sure to write down each clue. I have used three different references to collect the facts for these caches, the movies, a three book paper back set and the 50th Anniversary Edition both printed by Houghton Mifflin. Good luck and have fun working on and completing these caches.

The other caches in Book one series are:

LOTR #1 A Long-expected Party ( GCV6K4)
LOTR #2 The shadow of The Past( GCV645)
LOTR #3 Three is Company (GCV6JY)
LOTR #5 The Old Forest (GCV7WJ)
LOTR #6 Tom Bombadil /The Fog on Barrow-Downs (GCV7WK)
LOTR #7 At the Sign of the Prancing Pony (GCV7WN)
LOTR #8 Strider (GCV7WQ)
LOTR #9 A Knife in the Dark (GCV7WT)

Book Two caches
LOTR 2-2 The Council Of Elrond ( GCW2CH)

After spending the night with the Elves Frodo, Sam and Pippin set off for Bucklebury and decided to take a short cut through the woods to avoid the Dark riders. They end off course and too far south. However both Pippin and Frodo recognized they were in Bamfurlong and near old Farmer Maggot’s land and set off to Maggot’s farm .They spend the afternoon talking about the strange goings on and dine with Farm Maggot family. In the evening farm Maggot and his two sons take Frodo, Pippin and Sam to the ferry in his wagon where they meet Merry who is out searching for them. Meeting Merry they cross the Brandywine River via ferry and head off to Frodo’s new home of Crickhollow where Frodo confess that he has hidden the fact that he must leave the Shire. To Frodo surprise he discovers that his trusted friends have conspired against him and plan to follow Frodo on his quest.

To find the cache you must answer the qestion and then solve the puzzle.

What was the name of the Conspirator that stayed behind to conceal that Frodo has left Crickhollow?

Use your answer to determine which puzzle to use. Each letter in the answer equals a color.

Example: Ball
A= red
B= Green
L= Blue.
Your answer would be Green Red Blue Blue.

To figure out the coordinate you need figure out the correct puzzle. The coordinate are in WGS 84 (NAD 83) datum. This will be a very hard puzzle for some.
Treat each coordinate as a separate puzzle. There are two steps to solving the puzzle; the first step is to determine the value of each color. Only the row next the N or W will represent numbers.The position of the squares in the top row tells you what to do with the number or numbers below it, regardless of its color.
