Geocache Description:

Part of a [former] ten-cache series to honor TeamAlamo's achievement of hitting 10,000 caches found and becoming the top male geocacher of all time. Visit all ten to find the coordinates for the [now archived] final tribute cache!

The Series:

There are [were] ten caches in this series. Each cache contains one-tenth of a $10,000 bill with a number on it. When you visit each cache, note the location of the bill segment and the number on the bill. Use these ten numbers to find [the former location of] the final cache!

A bit of history - Lee's 2000th cache:

According to Lee's good caching buddy Ben Thomas, Lee was the first California cacher to hit the big 2K. Ben had placed a cache for the first 1K California cacher (see 1000 Cash for G&M) and he continued the tradition by placing this one for Lee during one of their sweeps of Monterey.

This cache:

I know how much Lee likes long hikes and caches thrown into bushes, so I put an ammo box in the middle of a bush (OK, it's a small tree) at the edge of Box Canyon (marker #31 on the map that comes with your Ohlone Wilderness Regional Trail Permit). It's a little over seven miles from the trailhead in Del Valle; it took me three hours to get to the cache site and two and a half to get back to the car. Didn't see another soul on the trail (except for this group and this guy) and the views (e.g., Mount Diablo and Mount Allison) are incredible. There are other caches on this trail Lee hasn't visited yet - I wonder why? He can even take Caching Casey with him (if he does this as a day hike), but not his bicycle.

FTF prize is an unregistered California GeoCoin.
