A big thank you to
auggies for bringing the cache
concept to Vermont. I was happy to help seed the lower section of
the state with their permission.
December 30, 2007 marks my 1-year geocaching anniversary. The
"#1 card", Ace of Hearts, was the obvious choice.
I originally placed it as a park and grab for travelers. I stop
off this exit as a midway point on a trip that I make often. The
cache was muggled twice so I moved it to a less muggle-rich
location. It is still a quick on and off smiley. Please do NOT take
apart the area. You do NOT need to go over the wall. Keep in mind
the terrain is only a 1.5.
I will keep an eye on this one for the winter. I am not sure if
they plow the area. You will need to take a little walk when the
gates are closed in the evenings. Some of you will choose a
different approach
which will make the terrain rating a
half a star higher.
The "prizes" for four local cachers are four other caches (2 of
hearts, 4 of diamonds (fyrdog), 8 of clubs (medic101), and the king
of clubs (rtrdcircusbear)) from the parent cache -
Vermont's 52 Card Pick Up -
GC1847C. (They didn't need to drive all the way to
Milton to grab a card!)
Happy Caching and Happy New Year!
