A Cova da Xoana es una cueva/ túnel, de difícil acceso formado por algún evento geológico que abrió un agujero atrevesando la cima de la montaña de oeste a este a una altura de 500 metros. El acceso más facì es desde la aldea de Fieiro, luego por A Moa. ESPAÑOL Por fin hemos encontrado la mítica, pero difícil de alcanzar,"A Cova da Xoana". A pesar de que teníamos una idea de su paradero en el macizo del Monte Pindo, e incluso la habíamos visto desde lejos, en realidad nunca podimos llegar alli. Nuestro gran error fue acercarse a ella por la entrada visible, del este, en lugar de la ruta más accesible desde el oeste, desde el lado de la costa. De hecho, no es tanto como una cueva si no como un túnel, formado por algún evento geológico o de otra índole que abrió un agujero atrevesando la cima de la montaña de oeste a este a una altura de 500 metros. (ver “spoiler” fotos que voy a subir para indicar su posición exacta porque creemos que sería una gran decepción llegar tan cerca y no encontrarlo). El caché se colocó el 26 de noviembre de 2011 y contiene un libro de registro, un lápiz, una mariposa pin y un soplador de burbujas. La forma más suave de acceso es desde la aldea de Fieiro, luego hacia el pico “a Moa” (donde hay otra geocaché) y luego a la A Cova da Xoana. Although we had a fair idea of its whereabouts on the massif of “El Pindo” , and had even seen it from a distance, we could never actually get there. Our big mistake was to approach it from the visible entrance which lies to the east, instead of the more accessible route from the west, from the coast. In fact it’s not so much a cave as a tunnel, formed by some geological event or other which had smashed a hole through the crest of the mountain from west to east at an altitude of 500 metres. (see spoiler photos to be uploaded showing the exact position because we feel it would be a great disappointment to come so far and go home empty handed.) The cache was placed on November 26th 2011 and contained a log book, a pencil, a butterfly pin and a bubble blower. The easiest access is from the hamlet of Fieiro, via A Moa (where there’s another cache) and then to the A Cova da Xoana.
