Geocache Description:

GREAT WHITE NORTH GEOTOUR

The posted coordinates are not for the cache. They will lead you to Nathan Phillips Square in front of the Toronto City Hall. To your east is the old city hall. To locate the cache you will have to take a tour of the down town area, collecting some information along the way, and then venture out of the big smoke to a city park to experience one of the many city parks we have here.

  1. Stage 1 - N 43°39.397' W 79°23.351'
    Here you will find yourself in front of our world famous Hospital For Sick Children.
    The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), affiliated with the University of Toronto, is Canada's most research-intensive hospital and the largest centre dedicated to improving children's health in the country. As innovators in child health, SickKids improves the health of children by integrating care, research and teaching. With a staff that includes professionals from all disciplines of health care and research, SickKids provides the best in complex and specialized care by creating scientific and clinical advancements, sharing knowledge and expertise and championing the development of an accessible, comprehensive and sustainable child health system. In 2004/2005 SickKids saw over 300,000 clinic, medical day care and diagnostic visits, nearly 50,000 emergency visits, and performed nearly 12,000 operating room cases.

    From here you can visit the oldest surviving build in Toronto's present waterfront. When was it originally built?
