The above co-ordinates are not the cache site but the recommended parking/starting point.
To celebrate their milestone, the 100th cache placed by Team Marzipan was called The Mother Cache (GC15RYZ). The object of The Mother Cache is for finders to take one of the ready-prepared caches, BUT ONLY if they are going to hide it as a Daughter Cache. This cache is one such daughter that has traveled across the River Dee to Wirral.
This cache involves finding two micros which in turn will lead to the main cache. This is a medium sized geo-cache container. This cache involves a route along a linear footpath that is tarmaced for all of its length. It must have originally been a train or tram route for Levers to connect their factory with their dock facilities at Bromborough (although this has long since disappeared).
The start of the route is typical of a neglected urban environment as all manner of rubbish has been dumped or lobbed into the cutting from the roads above. However, this rapidly improves as you approach the Port Sunlight end of the trail. Why not visit Port Sunlight Village upon completion of the route and return to the start by using the main A41 New Chester Road.
WAYPOINT INFORMATION.
From the parking/start co-ordinates descend the inclined footpath on to a track and follow this to the first waypoint.
WAYPOINT 1
Is located at N 53 20.518
W 002 58.957
This micro is hidden in a hole in the Northern side wall of a bridge. Inside are the co-ordinates for the Waypoint 2 and the W co-ordinates of the final cache. (but you will have to decrypt it first using a simple code-breaker). Don't forget to make a note of it!!!
WAYPOINT 2
This micro is located beneath the end of a pipe where it enters a concrete housing.
Inside is the N co-ordinate for the final cache but again you will need to use the same simple code breaker to unlock it.
FINAL CACHE SITE
The final cache is hidden behind a multi- trunked tree next to a steel fence.
The locations are described due to the fact that extensive tree cover compromises the accuracy of GPS readings.
