Balla & Silly: Langsam wird's wohl Zeit, diesen Cache zu archivieren. Wir hoffen, dass bald der nächste CITO in Deutschland irgendwo stattfindet. Immerhin ist Ende April weltweiter CITO-Tag. In diesem Sinne weiterhin: GIVE TRASH NO CHANCE!

It's about time now to archive this cache. We hope that the next CITO in Germany will follow soon somewhere. At least it's worldwide CITO day by the end of april. Furthermore in this sense: GIVE TRASH NO CHANCE!

Give trash no chance!

Einer der bekanntesten Parks in Berlin ist der Tiergarten. Mitten in der Stadt umgibt er weitläufig die Siegessäule und erstreckt sich bis zum Brandenburger Tor. Leider ist er auch einer der schmutzigsten Parks. Unseren Cache „Brandenburg Gate“, der auch von Cachern aus dem Ausland besucht wurde, haben wir wegen anhaltender Beschwerden über all den Dreck schließlich archiviert. Was liegt da näher, als gerade hier am

Sonntag, d. 26. Oktober 2003,

die erste CITO-Aktion Berlins (oder gar Deutschlands?) stattfinden zu lassen?
Ausgehend vom Brandenburger Tor, wo wir auch einen kleinen Infostand aufstellen wollen, soll der Park in mehreren Gruppen 2-3 Stunden lang von Unrat befreit werden. Und wir werden einen neuen Cache verstecken, der dann anschließend gesucht werden kann. Für teilnehmende Kinder wird es eine kleine Überraschung geben.

Treffpunkt: Infostand direkt am Brandenburger Tor ab 10 Uhr

Beginn der CITO-Aktion: gegen 10:30 Uhr (bis ca. 13 Uhr)

Anschließend: Treffen am Stand und Suchen des Caches (der nicht weit weg sein wird) in kleinen Gruppen, wobei eine Gruppe immer erst dann losläuft, wenn die Gruppe zuvor den Cache gefunden hat.

Vorhanden werden sein: Müllsäcke, 30 Paar Handschuhe (gesponsort von Bikenpreusse, vielen Dank!), 3-4 gleichlange Routen per Los, 1 kleiner Infostand, 1 Digitalkamera, 1 versteckter neuer Cache, Funkgeräte und Kinderüberraschungen

Mitzubringen sind: wetterfeste Kleidung und bequemes Schuhwerk, ein GPS-Gerät für die Suche des Caches sowie viel Schwung und Elan

Um besser planen zu können, bitten wir um vorherige Zusage der Teilnahme per Notiz auf dieser Seite. Am Stand wird es ein Logbuch für alle Teilnehmer geben. Nur wer dort nach der Aktion geloggt hat, kann anschließend auch im Internet loggen.

P.S.: Das Grünflächenamt Berlin-Mitte unterstützt unsere Aktion, indem es gegen 14:00 Uhr einen Fahrer mit Auto vorbeischickt, um unseren ganzen gesammelten Müll abzuholen.



One of the most popular parks in Berlin is the Tiergarten. Right in the middle of town it vastly surrounds the victory column and extends to the Brandenburg Gate. Unfortunately it’s one of the dirtiest parks as well. Our cache “Brandenburg Gate” which was also visited by cachers from abroad was finally archived by us because of ongoing complaints about all the filth. Starting at the Brandenburg Gate where we will also have a little information stand the park shall be cleaned for about 2-3 hours in several groups. And we will hide a new cache which can be searched afterwards. For kids taking part we will have a little surprise.

Meeting point: information stand right at the Brandenburg Gate at 10 a.m.

Beginning of the CITO action: about 10:30 a.m. (until around 1 p.m.)

Afterwards: Meeting at the stand and searching for the cache (which won’t be far away) in little groups, one group only starting when the group before has found the cache.

What will be there: rubbish bags, 30 pairs of gloves (sponsored by Bikenpreusse, thanks a lot!), 3-4 routes of the same length drawn by lot, 1 small information stand, 1 digital camera, 1 new hidden cache, walkie-talkies and children surprises

What you have to bring: weatherproof clothes and comfortable shoes, a GPS receiver for the cache search and lots of positive attitude.

For better planning we would like to ask you to announce your participation via a note to this cache page. There will be a log book at the stand. Only cachers who have logged their participation there can log it in the internet afterwards.

P.S.: The Department for Green Areas of Berlin Middle supports our event by sending a guy with a big car about 2.00 p.m. to pick up all our collected rubbish.
