The easiest one from Loon Lake Campground to date.
Still ended up being a bit more difficult than I anticipated, but I was pleased to see that this trail was much nicer than the ones I took the other day to hide Poison Hole.It is 2.1 miles from the wilderness parking lot to the cache, but I suspect (and recommend) if you make it to the cache site you keep going on this trail. Great views of Loon Lake and Pleasant Lake just a bit further up. You will need to buchwhack the last 40 feet which added an extra 0.5 to the terrain. However, you could argue that the 2 miles is a terrain 1.5 (virtually no elevation gain) and the last 40 feet added an extra 1 to the terrain. The cache is pretty much in plain sight, the difficulty 1.5 comes from lousy reception next to that huge rock.Have fun!
