Brooklyn Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

New Yorker: Cache survived since May 2005. It's been a fun ride and of course it's time to put this one into archive state. The log entries were fun and interesting to read. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

BROOKLYN

Standing in the cache area I can slightly hear cars and trucks whizzing by to the north and west at times drowning the sounds of the song birds.  This reminds me of Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York.  Especially with the amount of ferns that blankets the forest.  So I gave it the name Brooklyn.  During the spring and summer months this area is so beautifully green, and then comes the fall and winter when the ferns begin to dry up, turn brown, then die.  One can visit here around mid month April and witness the sprouting of the ferns.  When searching for the cache I have to warn you of falling trees, so far I see one that's being held up by another and counted one flat on the ground.  Overall this a very beautiful place.  Please hide as well or better and practice C.I.T.O.
