Another easy find in a very unique area.
Ahh… the Roanoke reef. Would this be a cool place to live or what? This is waterfront living with class! A story comes to mind with this cache about the days when I, Mr Wienerdog, was younger and a little wilder. My buddy and I had just stepped the mast on our 26-foot sailboat and for a tune-up run we took her out on the lake in perfect wind conditions. The ‘Chusan’ was a very lively and maneuverable boat and we were just flying across the lake. Well to cut to the chase, we used one of the houseboats as our bearing mark and didn’t put the tiller over until the last moment possible. I wish I had a camera ready. The folks who had been calmly watching TV were running for the back door as we made the turn in front of their deck! So there you have it… a glimpse into the misspent youth of ‘stay inside the lines’ Mr Wienerdog!
So, since we are staying inside the lines, just walk out to the north most clearing by the bench and look around. No need to walk through the shrubs for this one. Just look for a small tupperware with a white top and tell the home owners you don’t know me.
