Sandstone Falls Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

UWdawg: Not only is the trail marked as closed with signs/blockades that look permanent, the cache is under about 5 feet of dirt from a landslide. The trail is actually still passable although one spot may be a challenge during times of high water runoff. Perhaps they trail and bridges will be maintained and reopened in the future and this area can become home of a cache once again.

Geocache Description:

This cache is approximately 1 1/2 miles (one way) on established trails from either of two trailheads with parking areas: Coal Creek (N 47° 33.254 W 122° 09.982) or Red Town (N 47° 32.116 W 122° 07.719). The trail is very muddy in places.

The cache is less than 15 feet off of the trail.

You are looking for a medium size (50 caliber) ammo box which is originally stuffed fairly full (see original contents picture). The more interesting contents include the first mini-cache by UWdawg travel bug, an EraSeek set free from the Flatland cache, and a football.

This is the first cache placed by UWdawg and I welcome any feedback.

Additional Hints (Encrypt)

Next to the trail behind a tree and the end of a moss covered log.
