Geocache Description:

It’s a well-known fact that people who have retired do not know how they ever had time to work. So it is worth making plans to try and cram everything in!

Mondays (Shopping) and Tuesdays (Gardening) give you the north and west co-ordinates for DIY Orange Wednesdays (Relocated).
Thursdays (Hiding) and Fridays (Archaeology) give you the north and west co-ordinates for Saturdays (Walking).
DIY Orange Wednesdays (Relocated) and Saturdays (Walking) give you the north and west co-ordinates for Sunday lunch.

When you reach 60 our local garden centre will issue you a card which gives you 10% off your purchases on Tuesdays, so Tuesday is a good day for planning to garden. You might not actually do any gardening, but it is always a pleasure to wander round looking at all the plants, tempting yourself, and giving in to temptation. And you can go to the café and tempt yourself, and …

Car parking is at N52 46.861 W001 58.183. Park in the big overflow car park (there is room to park outside the barrier if it is locked) and follow the unofficial path at the far side, towards the river. Then let your GPS take over. The paths are only rough and not buggy/wheelchair friendly. And remember that the River Trent is close by – it is a big and powerful river, especially after heavy rain. If there is any danger of flooding the cache area, we will remove the cache temporarily. Beyond the cache the path links to paths at the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust’s Wolseley Centre (where our Tarka Chance cache is).

The cache container is a small, very small, plastic box containing a log book, pen, pencil and sharpener. There isn’t really room for anything very much else. It also has the west co-ordinate for DIY Orange Wednesdays (Relocated). It is in a green plastic bag which disguises it perfectly in the ivy.

Thanks to Wyevale for letting us place this cache.
