This geocache is hidden among some natural fissures in a wooded area that is not far from the main "walk-up" trail that begins on the west side of the mountain. The photo above shows some large fissures that are near the cache location, but are not the hiding spot for this cache. It is just a visual reference that lets you know that you are close.

My wife and I hike around Stone Mountain fairly often. I decided to check on my other Stone Mountain cache and place a more "challenging" one.The stash is a tupperware container just larger than a CD case and about five times as deep. So don't plan to stuff anything in it larger than a CD.
The stash contains a DVD (Backdraft), a CD (Journey's Greatest Hits) and a CD-ROM (SimCity 2000).I placed the stash inside a crack/fissure in the granite about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way up the mountain. It is totally hidden by 4 to 6 inches of litter.
The estimated accuracy of the lat/lon is +/- 9 ft.
Assuming my position is dead on and you can get to that position it should be possible to find the cache with the above description but it would be difficult at best (considering that even with my own stash, I've had the GPS reading vary +/- 80 ft). I would recommend printing or having someone else print the included pictures and the spoiler information.The spoiler information includes detailed information including trails that can be used and hints that might help locate the right spot.
