Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Vermont Vocabulary Virus (GC18G12) series and the first in a new series by the Vermont Forestry Division commemorating our 100th anniversary, 100 Years in a Box.

About the 100 Years in a Box Series:
Throughout 2009 the Vermont Forestry Division celebrated its 100th anniversary. Part of that celebration was the release of several geocaches and letterboxes on Vermont state lands managed by the Forestry Division. To find out more about the 100th anniversary celebration check out our website at: www.vtforest.com.

About this cache:
This cache is a two stage multi. The coordinates above will take you to a rather tall upstanding metal object. From this object proceed at a magnetic bearing of 255 degrees. At this bearing you will see a wood framed glass fronted rectangular case, go to that case. The cache container is not in the case, but the key to finding it is magnetic. The cache container is not near the ground. It is 'under cover'. Bring your own pencil or pen.

This particular hunt will take you to the regional office of the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation. If the office is open while you search please feel free to come on in and say howdy and pick up some brochures from the front area display rack.

HANDICACHING RATING: H12211
