A short walk to a splendid view in Ward Pound Ridge, with an interesting story.
Park on Honey Hollow Rd (41 14.940' 73 36.409') and follow broad trail to Leatherman Hill. Below this hill is one of the caves of the Leatherman, a renowned hermit who wandered the area in the late nineteenth century. For more on the Leatherman, visit (visit link) .
The cache is a clear tupperware container and contains a calculator, a poncho, a stuffed bear, a rubber frog, a lizard, a map and a roll of backpackers toilet paper.
The cache is very well hidden quite near this very popular view point, so please replace it exactly as you find it and use discretion in hunting it. If you can see the bench, you can't see the cache. It is right by a ledge, so use care.
