It's not as far as it sounds but the going is a bit tricky in places and a map would help.
The best starting point is in the village of Hunstanworth, parking by the church. Go to the end of the road and turn down a lane at the end of the church yard. After going over the high stile it is best to carry on in the same direction down the hill (through the longish, and wet today, grass). When you get to the river head up stream staying close to the river where you will find a bridge (the path going up left when you get to the river can be used for your return). Don't go over the field and cross that bridge, go upstream where there is another bridge. Once over the bridge there is a path if a little overgrown which will take you up Gibraltar Banks to Gibraltar itself. After crossing the bridge turn sharp right then take the diagonal track left up the hillside in front of you.

Cache box is fairly small so don't take anything large.
