I hid this cache on May Day with partners KissyFace, AntzyPantz and Cabin Fever, who is terrific at finding hiding places. It was a perfect way to celebrate with glorious weather and wildflowers in full bloom, especially the jack-in-the-pulpit, wild columbine, early saxifrage, violets, ragwort and rue anemone.
Most enjoyable walk into the forest is from Shades of Death Road off of Route 611. Ample parking is at N 40.55.304, W 74.53.616. There are some posted signs but if you stay on the trails, no one should bother you. Go between the lakes to the blue trailhead. The entire trip will be on established marked trails.
The co-ordinates will take you to a great vista. E-mail me what you see to claim it as a find. This is no longer the original multi-cache, but a virtual of just the one spot. I encourage you to go further into the park to see more vistas and visit other caches.
