Tourne Park is one of New Jersey's, The Garden State's gems,
currently embracing 546.9 acres, including a wildflower trail with
nearly 250 species of native plants. The highlight of a trip to
Tourne Park continues to be the view from the top, where you can
enjoy a panoramic view of the New York City skyline. Besides
offering hiking trails, traversing hills strewn with huge granite
boulders, there are picnic sites, equestrian trails, ball fields,
and in the winter, cross-country skiing.
This original cache was placed 8/19/2001, by core members of the
Skully & Mulder Team (Helmut, Nikki, Taylor, Ashley, & amp;
Autumn). This cache was the typical ammo box. It contains an actual
titanium hip implant(not used), some wheresgeorge dollars, shiney
rocks, & a few other trinkits. **** THE NEW CACHE **** Placed
9/5/2006... Unfortunately the original Skully & Mulder cache
was muggled in July 2006, almost lasting 5 years in its peaceful
little cave hiding spot. Helmut was one on NJ's original
Geocachers, placing quality caches around Morris County. His sudden
passing in early 2006 was loss to everyone. Tourne Park was a one
of Helmut's favorite caching locations. When this cache went
missing, we knew it had to replace this important 2001 cache, and
to keep Helmut's caching spirit alive. I have adopted Needful thing
