Geocache Description:

A three-part cache on North Twin Mountain at the northern end of the Wedington Trail in the Wedington Unit of The Ozark National Forest. You will have to drive about 4.5 miles over dirt roads and hike about 1.5 miles with vertical relief of about 130 feet. The three caches are located adjacent to three Benchmark Disks located on North Twin Mountain. The first two caches are white with black top prescription pill containers. The third cache is a .30 M.M. Ammo Can.

The first set of co-ordinates will take you to the North Twin Triangulation Station disk which is mounted in a concrete base about four inches above ground level. The point is near the Northern end of The Wedington Trail. The first Micro is located adjacent to this disk and will give co-ordinates and hints to find Reference Mark 2 Disk. Micro Number 2 is located near the Disk and will give co-ordinates and hints to find Reference Mark 1 Disk and the .30 M.M. Ammo Can. The Ammo Can contains a new baseball, Chucky Rugrat, Lady Luck Casino Keychain, Candle, Horned Toad, Mark McGwire Baseball Card, Foreign Stamp Packet, Duck Pencil Sharpener, 1907 US "V" Nickel, Bush Button and a set of keys I found near the Triangulation Station Disk.
DIRECTIONS: Start at the entrance to Lake Wedington at the Wedington Trail Trailhead on Hy 16 West of Fayetteville. Take Hy 16 west for approximately 1 mile. Turn right on Washington County Road 849 and drive in a northerly direction for 2.6 Miles. Turn rightjust before a Power Transmission Line and drive .55 miles to Forest Road 1752. Turn right on FR 1752 and drive 1.3 miles to a recently graveled parking area. You can park here or drive about 100 yards further on the "Cobbled" road and park at a gap in the fence where the Wedington Trail crosses FR 1752. The co-ordinates here are: N 36 08.580 W 094 22.681. I would mark this as a Waypoint as it is possible to get off the trail. Hike the "Blue Paint" marked trail in a Northerly direction for about 1.5 miles to North Twin and the Northern end of the Wedington Trail. TYrees obstruct the view from North Peak, but cars are easily heard on the nearby US 412 highway. OFF ROAD VEHICLES are not allowed in this area. Deer, chipmunks, squirrels and birds are abundant in this remote area.
