This is an easy roundtrip walk of about 1.5 miles (without exploring the surrounding area). The terrain difficulty of 1.5 is due to the occasional muddy areas but nothing that can't be avoided for the most part. This is another nice area to explore along the river. Bring your dogs, your fishing pole, your binoculars, your plant, bird and animal ID books -- Have fun exploring and ENJOY!
Did you know there is "another" Turtle Bay? You can get there by boat or swimming (not advised!!!), but that isn't necessary, nor is any cliff climbing needed to reach the cache. If you drive, do NOT park on the highway; there is easy access and good parking available. This is an easy 1.5-mile round trip walk.
The cache is in a smallish camouflaged container (hopefully much more waterproof than the first which was done in after two years by floodwaters), wrapped in a black plastic garbage bag. Due to the container size only smaller items will fit. Please replace things in *tightly sealed* ziploc bags and wrap the box up and re-hide it completely when you leave so that others need to hunt a bit too. Thanks!
