An Old Railroad Bridge Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Kiersolvd: A new foot path has made use of the old structure. No longer a barmble infested trek and with an upgraded structure, the cache is no longer the same. Thanks to all who made the trek in to visit this old site.

Geocache Description:

Driving by on I-90 recently, I saw the remnants of an old bridge.

This cache is temporarily disabled during a preriod of construction at this location. The cache has been removed and will be placed again once the construction is completed. ~Kiersolvd

Warning - Thick blackberries may make the approach to this spot extremely difficult as the summer approaches.  When I placed it in March, there was a path next to the fence that was relatively free.

The bridge is all that's left indicating where the old tracks once lay.  Memory, what it is, let me recall that when I-90 was put into it's present route, it overroad parts of the route of the old tracks.  Thus the trail that now follows the track from Snoqualmie Falls through Preston and into Issaquah is interrupted between Preston and the High Point interchange.

Although still strong enough to walk across, you won't need to.  Look for a very small lock-n-lock.
