Geocache Description:


Welcome to the Holcombe Hill Wildlife Preserve (HHWP) Series


This series is located on the Holcombe Hill Wildlife Preserve which is located on both sides of Birch Hill Road in Newtown CT. For the most part, the caches are winter friendly. This preserve is owned and maintained by the Newtown Forest Assocation (NFA). All NFA properties are held in trust. The trails are for walking and equestrian traffic only and all NFA properties are closed from sunset to sunrise. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash and under the owner's control at all times. Please be prepared to clean up after your dog. Absolutely no motorized vehicles. Please report any ATV's you see on the trails.

NOTES:
  • THIS PUZZLE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES.
  • You need to read this cache page BEFORE you start the series.
  • Locate the STAGE1 "micro station " shown in the picture on this cache page.
  • Stage 1 is located between "HHWP Blue trail" and" HHWP stumped".
  • You will need to bring your own pen to sign the logbooks.
  • At the final you will find a field puzzle to solve.
  • The tool you need to get the cache has been provided nearby for your use.
  • You need to sign the bison tube cache log to take credit for this cache
