Skidbone's first cache! Touchdown! I was so busy looking for the cache I didn't even notice the reference until we were leaving, and then of course, I wondered how I could possibly miss that. Between the construction and some practically wet paint at GZ, we thought the cache may have gone AWOL, but, nope, it was right where Redbaroness expected. As I now live in Reno it was fun to find this one as I went to this church for most of my childhood and early adult life. I was married in this church and both my childern were baptised in this chruch. Special find for my family as it brings back a lot of good memories. Also my father who has gone to this church since it's founding had a kick finding this one with me and the kids. Thanks.

Yes! Very nice work! Did you do that?Reading the logs triggered a memory of something that I had seen when at the cache, but not really noticed. Part 3 of the clue made me pay less attention to part 1 than I should have. But it made sense given what I remembered seeing. Very cool, Skidbone, glad I got it (eventually)! Swag consisted of 1 plastic french fry. Is a french fry good or evil? Anyway, I added a glow in the dark geocaching "DNF" frowny face pin, and one of my sig items. One good, one evil, you pick which is which!

This cache could use a little maintenance as it looks like some overzealous cacher has broken the outer cache container. Cache contents and logbook were still safe and dry, but the cache might be a little less secure until repairs are made. Took a TB tag which is traveling all by itself!

Didn't even see the humongous worshipper because it is soooo big, I drove right past it while watching my GPS. Cache is visible is someone just looks in broken door, I am sure someone with a rivet gun and a new hinge could fix it and made the lock usable again.....(*v*)

What a hoot! Great cache name, description, general location and actual placement. Kudos. We were laughing the whole time. Well, not the whole time. When we pulled aside to park across from the cache's namesake, a LEO pulled in RIGHT behind us. We got out of the car and took pics of the statue, and after a very nervy 5 or so minutes, the officier pulled away. Phew. After that, we scratched our heads for a moment or two at GZ, then we closed our eyes, reached our hands to the sky, and sought inspiration in the Flying Spaghetti Monster. 1315 A long story.(unlike my usual logs) We went to visit my mom on mothers day, and looked up caches in the area. I saw the name and "Knew" where the cache would be.
In July of 1970, we were married in the church across the street. Haven't driven by since, as we live some distance away.
We didn't get a chance to go on Mothers day, but were in the area today, my daughters boyfriend was with me on his first geocaching trip.. Once we were there, he navigated the GPSr, figured out the clue, and we found it.

Up from the South Bay caching with my partner Nekkar and Wanderboy. What a wild day - first there was rain, sleet, hail and then snow. OKAY...we are alive and well. How ironic that we check your stats and you are at 666 TODAY!!!! We made sure to stop here on our way home from caching in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

Doing the caches along Foothill.This is one of the most unusual caches I have done. There is almost no way to get this without the hint. Even the hint is a little confusing. After making an assumption about hint there were still problems. It is necessary to make sure that the access prevention device is in the proper orientation. It wasn’t and I tried several times using various codes before figuring that out. Once oriented properly my first code choice worked. I am still puzzled about how it is possible to do a cache like. Other than the Swizzle travel bug, took nothing but pictures.

I wasn't sure why the enigmatic clue, but as I pulled up and parked right in front of it, all became crystal clear. Took a CD and left a pile of filthy lucre. Thanks, John. I'd love to see the frustrated faces of those who can't access it.

Oh neat-o. Finally all those years of advanced theological studies have paid off. I hummed my favorite Iron Maiden songs to myself throughout the rest of the day (actually, I don’t have one, but I must have hummed something and they’ll do). Did Notre Dame score, by the way? I was getting more dip. I dropped off the Chicken Little TB but it never got the luxury of collecting the correct mileage since it was grabbed from me before I could log the cache and officially drop it this evening. I’m glad we looked at the hint or we’d probably still be there. Thanks for the neat cache.

We found it!!! We loved it. It was our first find and what a rush. This one is a little tricky-but once you get the hint it was easy to find. We left some playing cards, if the game gets boring. WE hope the good wins! Loved the cool hiding place.Look for the rubber chicken/ travel bug in Florida or Utah soon!! This one looked a little tricky, so, once I found the field, I whipped out the playbook and ran a few patterns. The defense was pretty tough though, so I couldn't find a way to score. I checked in with Eagle Rock Rob, and he confirmed that I had the right play, I just needed better position. So I took the team back out onto the field and this time ran it through a hole in the middle and right into the endzone.Sam Bottleopener had an excessive holiday, so he dropped in to confess his sins. I was feeling hungry, so I took a hot dog.

We DnF'd this one in the morning, and came back after church. There were a couple of cable company guys in their big trucks checking things out when we arrived. We asked them if they could help us. One guy brought out his giant ring of keys, and then laughed at our situation. He wasn't too concerned with the game, until he realized the actual position of the cache. Once we explained that Showstop was liable for any damage to the equipment, or to the cachers during their searching, they were happy to let us return the cache to its original spot. Thanks for another geocaching adventure. Maybe it will be in the next movie.

What the devil, I knew that much but not to adapt it to this cache. Thanks to GeoCraig, we are lucky enough to log this one and to look back on a clever hide. Gee Whiz, with this geocaching, do I have to think like the devil or Agouracharger, EMC, Skidbone, etc. This hobby really keeps me thinking.
Oh yes, I'm thinking how nice it was to learn that GeoCraig remembered my upcoming birthday. That made MY DAY!

Well, it about time you put one out there for everyone to cache in on. Left work a little early to try and make a FTF. Pulled up across the street. I saw two vehicles, then I saw two people pop up. I knew one to be Eagle Rock Rob, the other was a mystery. I crossed the street only to have the mystery man walk the other way past but we both said hi to each other. I went over to Rob and bid him a well due greetings. Last time I saw him we were looking for another new cache here in LC. Then it was off to Hawaii for both of us. Found out the other person was none other than GeoCraig. They apparently had been searching for awhile but to no avail. I helped out, down the hill, up and around we all went. We kept pondering the clue. Then GeoCraig spotted something that may have held a clue. No go. Then Eagle Rock Rob gave his best shot. Well what do they say, Save the BEST for Last??? Well, I asked them, Do I get the FTF? Shocked, they both agreed that I did. So, FTF!!! @ 4:35pm. We thought for sometime this newbie cacher had done the ol' one two and messed up the cords, but it was not to be. Oh, what does Max say...1/50?? You best be gettin' busy!! TFTC Skinbone SL

Three brilliant geocachers combing the area muttering that Skidbone must have made a newbie mistake in posting coordinates. No, wait, he is just more clever than the assembled masses and the coordinates are right on. Admittedly it is fun to fund a cache without looking at the hint, but if you want to find this without the hint I submit that you will be searching until next Purim. Well done from beginning to end. Oh, by the way, I did achieve the esteemed TFT (third to find) position for which I can restate my philosophy to anyone interested, which so far no one has been. Being of a devilish bent, I took the red devil and left 2 Kauai keychains in honor of my and MountainLovers Kauai jaunts. I think we inspired GeoCraig to take a vacation there.

Found tonight with BrianK124 at the wheel...GPS was being a pain in the satellite!...didn't have the page so brian gave me the clue for the lock and we both had different reasons for the clue...but i know mine was right.thanx tomahawk chop shop
