#1 TRIFINITY - This statue was created by a local Sculptor Richard Bergen and dedicated in January of XXXX. Bergen is probably better known now as being the sculptor who created "Ad Astra" which now sits on top of the Kansas Capital Dome in Topeka Kansas. The outline of this fine piece of work served on city of Salina stationary and most of the cities vehicles for many years. It's a common sight around Salina, but I would bet most people don't have any idea of what it Symbolizes. Trifinity symbolizes the three phases of past present and future. When you look at the statue you will notice that the shorter of the three figures (The past) has facial features, the mid-sized figure (The present) has some mild facial features and the taller figure with the outstretched arm (The Future) has no facial feature. The idea if you haven't figured it out is that we know of our past, we know some about the present and the future is still to be seen and anything is possible. TO GET THE NUMBER YOU NEED SUBTRACT 1975 FROM THE NUMBER YOU RECORDED FROM THE MARKER AT THE STATUE.
