Geocache Description:

After an hour, we'll be able to look back and say that this entire corner of Virginia is Litter-Free

The Plan:
Meet at Virginia's most Northerly point. Proceed Southerly between a bearing of 198.0 degrees and 129.2 degrees, picking up any trash and litter along the way. Don't know how far we'll get ... but when all is said and done we should be able to look back and say that at least this small little corner of Virginia is litter free. Who knows? Perhaps we can expand from there. Or mebbe there will be South, East, and West editions and we can all meet in the Geographical Center of VA

What:
A Litter and Trash Pickup CITO. CITO (Cache In Trash Out) is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. At this CITO event, we'll be cleaning up as much litter as we can from one small, extreme corner of Virginia.

Where:
The most Northern point in Virginia
Along Overlook Trail
Accessible from Cacapon State Park, West Virginia

When:
Saturday
July 26, 2014 (7/26)
5:00 PM until 6:00 PM
- 4:30 to 5:00 Socialization, Planning, and Organization
- 5:00 to 6:00 Clean-up

Additional details:
Bags and a limited amount of gloves and other cleanup gear will be on hand. However, BYOCS (Bringing Your Own CITO Supplies) is very much appreciated.

This will be a "haul your haul" affair. You will be responsible for transporting trash from the cleanup locations. We will have a list on-hand of the nearest facilities at which trash can be left.

Additional water and a first-aid kit will be available and on-hand. This is a strenuous activity, please come prepared.

With the above in mind, suggested items to bring include: gloves, sturdy boots, water, change in clothes / shoes, first aid kits (if you have one), and anything else you think may be helpful. Thanks!

Sections of the planned clean-up area are along a roadside. Please keep safety in mind. There is an alternate cleanup area listed in the waypoints at a nearby overlook. Feel free to choose the location most suitable to you.

Please note the parking coordinates. They are approximately .2 miles from the primary cleanup location. Again, please keep safety in mind as we are getting started and getting organized.

Please try and arrive by the 5:00 PM clean up time so we can most efficiently organize. However, also be aware that the road can at times be a little rough and require caution. If in doubt, err on the side of safety.

Please make sure to double-check your Nuvi or other direction sources. The best (and only) way to access this location is through Cacapon State park, and follow the signs (bearing left) to Overlook Trail. Other "roads" which may appear in other sources are generally not navigable and / or may be gated.
