Starting at the Tanaina Lake Canoe Trailhead at Mile 4.5 of the park road in the summer or the parking lot at the road's end in winter, follow the orange P signs marking the portages connecting lake to lake. My winter mode of transportation is skis which take about four hours give or take to complete the loop, but the trail is mainly used by snowmachines. In the summer it makes for a great kayak or canoeing trip. Others use ice skates, pack rafts, fat bikes, or airplanes to get around. Please be aware of weather and lake ice conditions before you go. There is a parking fee required unless you have a state parks permit or have rented one of the cabins. Cache placed under GeocacheAlaska! Park Use Permit #15-KA-1994
