Geocache Description:

Letter of Marque Event

Step back to the year 1780, and join in the search for booty.We will be searching for the treasure that was hidden all about the town. We will meet at the local pub, where the crew will be sworn in and you will recieve your Letter of Marque. The Letter of Marque is the only thing that separates a privateer from a pirate, and the penalty for piracy , being hanged by the neck until ye be dead.

Sunday the 3rd day of July in the year of our Lord 2011
10:00 of the Forenoon---Muster the crew and recieve your Letter
Spend the day pillaging and plundering
There will be demo caches to train Would be Buccaneers
Lots of caches for the seasoned old salts
Prize for the best Privateer or Pirate Costume
3:00 of the Afternoon-- Meet back at the pub for the Prize Court

There be booty and plunder and prizes to be had. Dress in your finest sea going trogs and win some plunder for the best dressed privateer.

At the end of the day there will be a meeting to comapre conquests and to divvy up the booty.
