Geocache Description:

Located high up on the South Saskatchewan River.

The cache is located nearby where South Branch House was located. This was a Hudson Bay trading post setup in 1786 and lasting until 1794. It's biggest claim to fame is that David Thompson spent time here as clerk, before becoming a geographer and mapping out the route to the Pacific.

The cache is hidden and needs to be rehidden to prevent being muggled. Please be careful as the bank has quite a steep slope. There is a path nearby to decend if you so wish, but the cache is not down below.

Please watch yourself accordingly.
