Geocache Description:

Our first cache! The cache is hidden a short distance off the Bruce Trail in The Forks of the Credit area.

This is the first cache my family and I have placed. If you start at Trailhead 1, you will have a nice walk along the Bruce Trail for a kilometer or two. About 50 meters past the location of the Cache will be where the Bruce Trial goes down the escarpment. This is one of my long time favourite viewing locations. You can often spot some hawks or eagles circling in the area. I kept the cache back from the edge to keep pets and any little squirts safe.

Trailhead 2 is a parking location further down the trail by the Credit River. If you start here, you will have an equally beautiful hike. *** NOTE: Starting here will involve crossing a railway track and also involve climbing up a short, but steep climb where the Bruce Trail crosses the Escarpment. There are safety lines and rock steps allowing you to traverse the cliff but this would increase the Terrain difficulty.

Finally, if you just want a quick in/out, you can park at the Midpoint. This will involve a very short walk (Maybe 50 meters?) on relatively easy terrain.

The kids picked the container and the contents. The container is a small box in a ziplock bag. The kids put about 6 small toys inside for exchange with other budding treasure hunters. There is also a log book and pen. If you are going in colder weather, you might want to bring your own pencil.

A couple requests: The families that live near the Trail Head and Midpoint are very accomodating. Please respect their privacy and property so that we can continue to enjoy the use of the trail.
