Around 6 on Saturday
evening, we will have a potluck dinner at the Greenbrier American
Legion Hall. Last year there was a group that stayed until well
after midnight, so if you can't make it at 6:00, feel free to drop
in later and visit with us. If you aren't too stuffed, enjoy nearby
caches after dinner, or play it safe and hunt them earlier in the
day, either way it will be a welcome break from shopping. The MTGC,
will provide ham, so it's important that we have a head count
before the event. If you plan to attend please post a note below
with what you plan to bring to share. It's important to use this
signup sheet so we don't end up with ham, 9 billion cups, and
nothing else.
Like all MTGC events everyone is welcome to
attend, we look forward to seeing you all and celebrating the
holiday season with the full community of geocachers. We will be
swapping geocaching stories and enjoying some of the fine foods
that this crowd is famous for, we may even have some door prizes up
for grabs, they might even be geocoins, you will just have to come
out and share the season with us to find out for
yourself.
UPDATE: I have just found
out that Tess and Aaron from CoinsandPins.com are donating a
selection of geocoins to be given away as door prizes, including a
couple of VERY cool coins, you are not going to want to miss this.
I encourage evryone to take a moment and check out their site, they
make some of the best coins in the business and their support of
geocaching around the country is unrivaled, so take a look or drop
them a line and thank them for their support of the MTGC and
geocaching.
