Second in a series of caches that have a great view of the San Francisco Peaks. Not too challenging if you hike. Take an ATV within 100 feet of the cache
Take the Willard Springs exit and head past the dump towards the Munds Park RV Resort. When you are behind the rest stop (not currently open) head across the pasture till you come to a cattleguard. If you want a short (4/10 of a mile ) but steep hike (200 foot elevation gain) then park by the cattleguard and head up the powerline trail. You can make it in an ATV (a modified golf cart went up as we were leaving).
At the powerpole marked "16-12" head SE to find the cache. Before (or after) finding the cache take a look at the beautiful SF Peaks!
If you are a staying at the Munds Park RV resort you can also take the trail through the forest behind the park to the cattleguard. The trail is easy and about 1 mile to the cattleguard. Regulars at the resort can take what we call "the loop" for a fairly decent hike through the forest.
Have seen elk and coyotes while hiking in this area.
