This is the oldest active cache in Berrien County Michigan.
I wouldn't expect to even have to put this notice on the cache page, but I guess some folks are just plain stupid!!! DO NOT be foolish and park on the Interstate to access this cache. The total hike to complete this cache is over 1 mile on a maintained grass/wood chip trail. The shortcut through the lowland can be very mucky. This trail will be come muddy after rainfalls and in spring.
The preserve is only open during daylight hours.
Take time to enjoy the numerous hiking trails and the other caches in the preserve. Thank you to the Chikaming Township Park Board for their cooperation in allowing caches to be present in the preserve. Please remember to stay on the trails until you are within 10 feet of the cache.
