The Crystal Lake Park District owns over 40 pieces of property throughout Crystal Lake. When we first decided to offer a new geocaching program we needed to find locations to hide nine new geocaches. With 40 parks, you would think that this would be an easy task, but that was defiantly not the case.
It wouldn’t have been too bad if we placed micros, but we wanted to provide kids, big and little, the chance to find some treasure. We also needed containers large enough to hold the stickers and passports for The 90 Years of Fun Geocoin Challenge. As a result, we have a couple of caches that are straight forward traditional caches.
This cache is located in Feinberg Park, a large neighborhood park offering a playground, tennis and basketball courts, and a lot of openspace. We hope you will enjoy a nice little stroll, along a paved path, to the location of a 30 cal. ammo can filled with swag.
