This cache has been archived.

Nomex: Hi
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, [RED]and assuming it still meets the guidelines[/RED], we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Don't hesitate to email me via the link on my Profile if you have any questions. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GC Code, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

A short hike up a fairly steep hill with terrific views.

The Flying Kippers Sky Cache is on a nice hill overlooking the school where most of the Kippers attend school. It's a satisfying hike for little kids and bigger explorers can continue past the cache for even more spectacular views.

You can make it all the way to the cache without getting near poison oak, but there is poison oak elsewhere on the hill. You'll have to make a special effort to get exposed. There's also some old barbed-wire under a tree about 100 feet from the cache, so watch out for that if your readings are off.

We primed this cache with some orange sunglasses, a Buddah pencil sharpener (I miss that already), a racing car, a bendy pilgrim (which nobody seems to miss), a rubber ball, a butterfly ring, a frog and an M&Ms lunchbox.

We also put in two travel bugs that we picked up this week, Geobob Cachepants and Rosie the Guide Dog Puppy in Training. Geobob has agreed to let Rosie tag along for a while on his trek to Bikini Bottom. Rosie's trying to get "socialized" by exploring new and unusual places.

We recently moved the cache farther up the hill to get away from some new construction. There's not a lot of legal parking on Main, but you can park on Beechwood if you don't mind a steep initial walk. Another option is to park on Castlewood and take the path next to Glenwood School over to Main and go up the hill from there.
