ONLY AVAILABLE DURING OPEN ARBORETUM HOURS.
This cache is not at the posted coordinates. It is a multicache and you will need to follow the instructions below to locate several waypoints on the way to the final.
Please note: You will need access to email and GPS to complete this cache.
When you get to the first waypoint, email GC31DA4@gmail.com with a specific keyword in the subject line. It will respond with the coordinates for the next waypoint. Each subsequent waypoint works the same way. The hint will tell you how many letters are in the keyword(s). It's important to start a new email each time, rather than replying to an earlier one, in order for the bot to recognize it. (Note that this is an automated email and is not monitored. If you need to reach the cache owner, please do not use that email address because your message will not be seen.)
The final is a medium-sized cache with room for trackables and other goodies. It has been placed with the permission of the site's education director. There is no need to trample any plants to get to it. Please try not to attract muggle attention to the cache.
This cache is tied to a sixth grade ecology unit. There is a supplemental worksheet in the images section for teachers and parents to use when teaching about the ecology of California.
Parking is $4/hour as of Sep 2022. There is an optional $5 donation for entry. The arboretum is open 6 days a week from 9am-4pm (closed Tuesdays and major holidays). They may have extended hours during summer months. Please see the Fullerton Arboretum website to verify current hours and for more information.
